I saw this over at GearTrap, one of my new favourite sites. This is a very nice sounding fuzz pedal. I've always associated fuzz pedals with over the top crazy tone, but this does some beautiful lower gain tones as well.
I know this is my "guitar" blog, but if I can introduce some more people to this band then I think I am making the world a better place.
Birds Of Tokyo hail from Perth, Western Australia, and are my favourite band at the moment. Their new album "universes" has just come out today and it is absolutely brilliant. Above is the video for the first two singles (yes, two singles, one video clip). I hope you enjoy.
While we are showing famous guitar rigs, lets go to something stupidly complex. John Petrucci of Dream Theater walks us through his live rig on this video. Hope you enjoy.
And for a lighter take on the subject, check out the following videos.
have you tried Joost yet? I was one of the original beta testers a while back and found it to be a) unusable due to bandwidth and b) lacking anything to watch.
My, have things changed.
After talking to another guitar enthusiast the other day, he told me I should give it another go. And he was right. Featured on Joost now is the GuitarWorld channel, featuring the video lessons and reviews from the magazine's cover discs. While you don't get the full benefit of the lessons without the accompanying tabs, the equipment reviews are fantastic.
If you haven't got Joost I highly recommend you check it out. It's a great time killer (and yes that is Zakk Wylde in the above screenshot).
