Who the hell is Okuda Tamio? Yeah, I had no idea either but he's pretty good. Good enough that Gibson has decide to release an "Inspired By" model.

The Gibson Inspired By Okuda Tamio Les Paul Special Guitar features 1-piece lightweight mahogany body and neck, Okuda Tamio profile, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75″ scale length, ABR-1 bridge with Bigsby tailpiece, 2 P90 pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls.

They are only making 100 of these all up, but I would love to get my hands on a guitar with this configuration. For some reason it just tickles my fancy.

Lots of Guitars? That’s a-hangin’

Fellow Aussie Jon over at GuitarNoize (the coolest looking guitar site on the planet if you ask me) brought this lovely contraption to my attention today. It's called Rixzrax and it is a wall mounting system for your guitars. The system mounts on your wall, bits stick out and you hang your guitars off it.

Sounds like pretty simple fair, but this has easily adjustable arms so you can either hang your gear in the most efficient way, or do what I would do and arrange them so they look their best. It's a shame I rent.

A 6 unit rack will cost you back $249.95US and the 8 unit rack is $295.95US. They can be ordered directly through the Rixzrax website.
