Looking for talented and entertaining bloggers for new website targeted at musicians.
Can you write entertaining, informative blog posts about that other musicians will find amusing or useful? Or do you love guitars and all things guitar related? Then please keep reading…

GuitarToyBox is a part of StudioGTB, a web solution company looking to expand to providing useful services in niche markets. Being the sole proprietor and employee (at the moment) you can see I’m a tad busy. On top of that there is the day job to contend with, the rapidly expanding web design business, and things get crazy.

But beyond that, I am a musician. I am also a musician that can see how the internet can help us realise our goals and dreams. That is why I am starting a new website early in 2008 aimed at musicians of all types. Eventually the site will feature some custom tools designed to help musicians interact, find each other, find the services they require, wherever they are. The first phase of this site is the creation of a small blog network of like minded individuals. This is perfect for working musicians or bloggers who are trying to promote their own blog, album, website, learning tools, etc., while helping build this new community of musicians.

I am currently looking for 8-10 bloggers in the following areas:

  • Guitar
  • Bass
  • Drums - filled
  • Vocals
  • Keys/Synth
  • Music Production - Studio
  • Music Production - Live
  • Session Musician
  • Live Musician
  • Songwriting

… and likely some more yet depending on feedback and availability.

I have some tentative ideas on payment schemes for bloggers, but most likely free advertising on the site, plus a hefty cut of AdSense revenue derived from your blog channel. Again, none of this is concrete and open to discussion.

The blogging requirements are nothing huge either:

  • Must be unique content
  • Minimum 3 posts per month

Launching with the blogs will be a community forum as well. With good content and good people this site will be become a platform for many successful endeavours for all involved. Interested parties should should contact me via the contact form on this site with bio as you would like to be described on the site, a example post (that will not be used in anyway unless you become one of our writers), and anything else you wish to share.

The work involved with this project will be quite large, so my time here on GuitarToyBox will be stretched as well. I’m looking for 1 or 2 guitar nuts with personalities to help with posting to this site. I’m looking for 2-3 good posts per week from each person, and will still be contributing personally when I can. This is not a paid position. The grand total earnings from this site have been minuscule. I’m looking for people who are enthusiast and would like to contribute to the guitar blogging scene. Again, if you are interested please contact me via the contact form on this site with an example post and short personal bio.

Any other blog owners out there, please help me spread the word. If you know anyone who may be interested in either the new website or contributing to this one please send them here.

Thanks and take care…

Chris “Wookie” Watson
