Just a note to let everyone know my other blog at Chris Watson Music is finally gaining some attention. I’m getting back into performing again and my (mis-)adventures will be documented over there. Right now I’m in the process of building a set list up, so head on over, check out what I’m up to and share your thoughts.
What!?!?! You thought I’d leave you hanging? Here we go with some Halloween flavoured guitar goodness courtesy of YouTube. First up, Mr Scary George Lynch. I don’t know what is scarier, the paying or the fashion.
And how can we have Halloween without Helloween!!??! I had no idea these guys were still releasing new music. Awesome. this track is a suitabl clip (in a cheesey way) for the occasion. Wait for the dual guitar solo.
They are at it again. And this looks something special.
The RM600 ROTARY MACHINE spins the entire history of 3-dimensional rotary speaker effects in one compact pedal. Its stereo rotary speaker simulations let your guitar tone swirl around the stage with a single stomp.
The RM600 ROTARY MACHINE box features dedicated rotary controls Slow and Fast rotation speed, Drive (to squeeze the last drop of dynamics out of your tone) and Drum/horn blend. 2 slide switches let you choose 3 ramp speeds and 3 classic rotary speaker sounds. And the featured Real Sound Modeling (RSM) DSP turns out stunning realism that will have your audience looking for those old funky spinning speakers that used to be the only way to create this sound. The tough metal footswitch maintains straight-wire signal integrity in bypass mode. A clear blue LED indicates power status and battery condition. The RM600 pedal runs on both our BEHRINGER PSU-SB DC power supply and a typical 9 V battery for maximum flexibility.
Yes, that bit in bold above is true. A metal case on this pedal. Thank you Behringer. Sure, it add roughly doubles the price (AU$90 when released) but I willbe the first to buy. I am yet to find another rotary effect that comes close to that price, and I have been happily surprised by the tonal quality of these pedals.

Looks like a winner. How could you not be excited by this?
I can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone else post this yet. Behringer have release a fully powered pedal board that comes in under $200.
The PEDAL BOARD PB1000 pedal board offers you the utmost in flexibility, allowing you to add and group effects pedals to your heart’s content.
Get your effects pedals wired up and ready to play at all times in this protective, roadworthy unit. The PB1000 is an ultra-compact and rugged pedal board for musicians who want to pre-arrange and carry up to 12 effects pedals in a heavy-duty, yet lightweight, case designed to withstand heavy impact. It features a generous 1.7 A power adapter and includes all cabling to power multiple stomp boxes simultaneously.
When several effects pedals come together, this tool definitely comes in handy!
The foam mounts look like they come out so you can also add in your favourite wah or other pedals too (by the looks anyway). Considering almost all my pedals fall into that form factor anyway (Dunlop Wah and MXR Phase 90 being the exceptions) this thing looks great.
Surely if you play guitar you have seen these by now. StSanders Has taken classic guitar footage from our favourite guitar idols and over dubbed the audio. yeah it sounds lame but the skill he has used in making these is great. You would honestly think you were hearing these masters having a really, REALLY bad night.
Although the EVH video is gold, I can’t go past Slash and the talk box. Check these out and know that You tube is good.
