Strangly, these both appeal to me. I like the whole steampunk think, and if I ever started a band playing the type of industrial dark wave music I also enjoy I'm sure I would want these guitars.
I may be crazy, but I am a fan of the original GT's that Gibson released, particularly the black one. Not many people liked the flames but I didn't think it was too bad. Well it turns out Gibson listened to everyone else and not me (a common thing that, it must be said. I still haven't heard back on my application for an endorsement based on my blogging) and released the Les Paul GT in fire engine red.
The feature-laden Les Paul GT blazes in brilliant Fire Engine Red, but without the ghosted flames of the original. Locking metal button Grover tuners, TonePros bridge, and Neutrik locking input jack are just some of the hot features on this road-ready guitar. 490R and 498T humbuckers deliver crushing tone.

If you want a relic guitar then instead of speading all that money on a new reissue relic, why not do it your self. Ig posted a link to a great site with instructions and guides to relic your beloved instrument. I'm almost tempted to try some of these on my very plane looking Telecaster.
Either that or I'll just start playing more. My main gig guitar when I was playing in Sledge, a black Epi Les Paul Goth, has had the finished buffed to being almost reflective from my right arm movement.
